LACONIA — Kenneth E. Hodge, 73, formerly of 492 Union Road, Belmont, died at the Genesis Eldercare Network, Laconia Center on Wednesday, March 16, 2005. Mr. Hodge was born January 28, 1932 in Waltham, Mass., the son of Ralph and Florence (MacDonald) Hodge. He served in the Massachusetts National Guard.
Mr. Hodge was a long time resident of the Laconia/Belmont area and was employed at Quality Controls for fifteen years. He was the former owner of Faith Farm Greenhouse on Union Road, Belmont. Mr. Hodge enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Marie (Smith) Hodge of Belmont; two sons, Robert Hodge of Florida and Douglas Hodge of Northborough, Mass.; one daughter, Christine Fortin of Marlboro, Mass.; four stepdaughters, Susan Lange, of Block Island, Rhode Island; Elizabeth Snow of Monroe, Maine, Barbara Caruso of Milford, Mass., and Jayne Morgan of Leominster, Mass.; two stepsons, Craig Clive of Ellicott City, Maryland, and Thomas Clive of Belmont; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2005 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Carriage House of
the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 4:00 p.m., also at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Genesis Eldercare Network, Laconia Center, Resident Activity Fund, 175 Blueberry Lane, Laconia, NH. 03246.
