EPPING — Kendra Ashley Chevalier, 37, a resident of Epping for the past 12 years, and formerly of Bristol, died peacefully on March 22, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital, surrounded by the love and support of her family, after a long battle with a rare form of cancer.
Born in Laconia, she was the daughter of Mark D. Chevalier and the late Karen L. (Huntoon) Chevalier. Kendra was raised and educated in Bristol, graduating from Newfound Regional High School with the class of 2005. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2010 from the University of New Hampshire. For the past 15 years, Kendra was employed as the accounts payable clerk at AstenJohnson, formerly known as Foss Manufacturing.
An avid runner, Kendra took part in marathons locally and all over the United States, raising thousands of dollars for cancer patients and survivors, including for her own mother, Karen, who succumbed to cancer in 2021. She enjoyed working out regularly at her gym, MaxEdge of Portsmouth, and was the holder of the State of New Hampshire dead lift record at 374.7 pounds. Kendra was a longtime supporter of the Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department, baking dozens and dozens of delicious desserts for fundraisers and fire department events, and was especially known for her famous cupcakes, earning her the nickname “Cupcake.”
A devoted daughter, sister and especially aunt to her niece and nephew, she also enjoyed crafts and walks along local beaches, collecting shells that she transformed into jewelry shaped like angels. She will also be remembered by her co-workers for the collection of rubber duckies that decorated her office.
Kendra will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her father, Mark D. Chevalier and his fiancé Angela Campbell of Largo, Florida; her brother and sister-in-law, Kevin M. and Amanda Chevalier of Boscawen; a niece, Marlow, and a nephew, Calder; her paternal grandmother, Miriam Chevalier of East Kingston; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to Kendra’s Life Celebration, to be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow. Her funeral will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday March 28, from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in Saint Joseph Church, Epping. Her burial will take place in the spring at Homeland Cemetery, Bristol.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Oncology Department of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, 789 Central Ave., Dover, NH 03820, or to Alexandria Fire Department, 153 Washburn Road, Alexandria, NH 03222.
