EPPING — Judith "Judy" Christine (née Berglund) Hewson, born Jan. 9, 1942, in Needham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Dec. 12, 2025, at Exeter Hospital after a brief illness.
Known for her quiet strength and generosity, she raised two sons in Billerica, Massachusetts, before moving to Winnisquam. Judy settled in Epping, where she was active in the community, made strong friendships, and traveled in later years.
Judy is survived by her sons, Alan Hewson (Kristine) of Epping, and Donald Hewson of Lunenburg, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her brothers, Warren Berglund (Bernice) of Burlington, Massachusetts, and Ken Berglund (Grace) of Lincoln, and Seminole, Florida; her sister, Noni Smith of Sacramento, California; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Thelma Berglund Carr, and her father, Raymond Berglund.
Judy will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her steadfast compassion, loyalty, generosity, and the love she shared so freely.
