Fay J. Crowley, 94

GILFORD — Fay J. Crowley, 94, passed away on April 14, 2024, at Concord Hospital. She was a resident at Merrimack County Nursing Home, Boscawen, New Hampshire.

Fay was born on December 10, 1929, in Concord, NH. She graduated from Concord High School in 1947 and attended Boston School of Interior Design. She was married in March 1948 and had three daughters, Lynn, Susan and Nancy. 

She had various interests — skiing, snowshoeing, mountain climbing, sailing/boating, swimming, reading, piano, knitting, crocheting, rug braiding, watching classic movies, and spending time at their log cabin on Ossipee Lake in Freedom, NH. 

Deciding to further her education at 54, Fay received her associate’s degree from the University of New Hampshire in Manchester in 1988. She was employed by the Laconia Public Library. 

She is predeceased by her father Harold J. Jones and her mother Lillian B. Jones, both of Chichester, NH; her brother Harold Jay Jones of Rotonda West, FL; two children, Lynn Crowley Tucker and Susan Crowley Healy, both of Hopkinton, NH. 

Fay is survived by her daughter Nancy Crowley of Gilford, NH; granddaughter Claire Healy-Hibbard and great-granddaughter Lillian Healy-Hibbard, both of Milford, CT; also nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will take place at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord, NH, 03301 on Friday, April 26, at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 N. State St., Concord, NH. There will be a luncheon to follow, catered by Red Blazer at 3 Church St., Concord, NH, 03301.
