SANBORNTON — Everett W. Joslyn, 73, of 278 Woodman Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, on Saturday, June 26, 2004. Mr. Joslyn was born July 1, 1930 in Laconia, the son of Olin A. and Alice M. (Woodman) Joslyn.
Mr. Joslyn served in the New Hampshire National Guard. He was a lifelong resident of Sanbornton, and worked for Energy North for twenty years, retiring in 1993.
Mr. Joslyn was the Health Officer for the Town of Sanbornton for forty-four years and was Supervisor of the Checklist. He was a member of the Doric Lodge of Tilton and the Mt. Lebanon Lodge of Laconia and was a 7th Degree Mason.
Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Lurana (Wareing) Joslyn, of Sanbornton; a son Walter C. Joslyn of Sanbornton; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl A. and Mark Grand of Nashua,; four grandchildren, Julie Joslyn of Laconia; Lissa Joslyn and Kiley Joslyn both of Sanbornton, and Alicia Grand of Lowell, Mass.; five sisters, Marion Foster of Lewisburg, Penn., Phyllis Smith of Lochmere, Joyce Joslyn of Laconia, Arlene Ilgenfritz of Lochmere, and Shirley Joslyn of Laconia; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Arsenault. His daughter-in-law, Velma Joslyn of Sanbornton, died on Sunday, June 27, 2004.
Calling hours for Mr. Joslyn and his daughter-in-law, Velma Joslyn, will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia.
A Funeral Service for both Mr. Joslyn and Velma Joslyn will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church of Sanbornton, Upper Bay Road, Sanbornton. The Rev. Dr. Robert Robertson, Pastor of the church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Sanbornton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Second Baptist Church of Sanbornton, 322 Upper Bay Road, Sanbornton, NH 03269.
