LACONIA — Constance Ann Sagona, 73, passed away on Aug. 14, at Concord Hospital in Concord.

Connie was born on June 3, 1951, in Silver Spring, Maryland, the daughter of the late Frank Sagona and Dorothy (Campbell) Sagona.

Connie was a force of nature. When you met and spoke to her you might well come away from the conversation believing you had just met your new best friend. Connie has many friends and was loved and will be sorely missed in Laconia, Spokane, Washington, and Cambridge, Massachusetts, along with a list of other cities and states.

Connie was a member of PEO, as was her mother and her grandmother.

Connie is survived by her husband Mason Petit of Laconia, her brother F. Stephen Sagona, of Dahinda, Illinois, her stepson Alden Petit of Spokane, Washington, her niece Stephanie Smith of Owings Mill, Maryland, and her nephews Michael Sagona of Des Moines, Iowa and Matthew Sagona of Alpha, Illinois.

There will a memorial service at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Littleton, Massachusetts, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.

For those who wish, the family suggests memorial donations in Constance’s name be sent to the Human Rights Campaign, .hrc.org.
