LACONIA — Lakes Region Mental Health Staff member Laurie McGinnis recently donated a check for $200 to the Boys & Girls Club of the Lakes Region, marking a longtime partnership between the two organizations that offers McGinnis’ behavioral health services onsite to children and families enrolled at the club.

The donation represents a longevity award given to McGinnis for 20 years of service at Lakes Region Mental Health Center, which she chose to turn around and give back to the club.

“I am so grateful for everything Bob and the staff have done over the years to provide the people we serve with so many needed, helpful things: food, Christmas gifts, not to mention daily support from the staff,” said McGinnis. “The help the Boys & Girls Club provides goes beyond any expectations and is done quietly without the need for recognition. It’s well beyond what the public is aware of.”
