MEREDITH — The Winnipesaukee Playhouse is holding auditions for dancers in grades 5-8 to add to the junior dance chorus of their annual holiday show. Every December, the Playhouse presents a traditional English “Panto,” which is a family musical featuring familiar stories, silly slapstick, saucy jokes, and great songs and dances.
This year’s Panto will be "Snow White," and, like in past years, will feature a combination of professional actors, talented local community theater actors, and a junior chorus made up of local dance students.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Playhouse. Those wishing to audition should have a minimum of two years of dance training and should be familiar with basic dance terminology.
