Young artists from Heifetz International Music Institute will perform a concert of classical music at First United Methodist Church beginning at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 18.

Each summer, students from Germany, Italy, China, France and the USA who are being prepared for the concert stages of the world, gather to learn and share at the Heifetz Institute at Brewster Academy. Jeanne Davis Porter, a member of the Wesley Arts Committee of The First Methodist Church has worked with Dr. Heifetz to make this free concert possible.

“This is the 4th year we have sponsored this concert," Porter said. "The young musicians are very high caliber and we are fortunate to have this opportunity to host them for this concert.”

The concert is free but a "free will" offering will be collected for scholarships. A reception for the students will follow in the Fireside Room. For more information call Sharon at 528-6485.
