The Squam Lakes Natural Science is hosting a Tour of a Private Garden on June 21 (Rain or Shine) from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The extensive Center Harbor garden on Squam Lake has stunning views of the Squam Range.
Designed by Susie Linnemayr, this garden is a riot of perennial color around the house. Specimen trees are artfully placed and you are drawn to the water by drifts of woodland plants. Follow the meandering paths beside the lake and admire the woody shrubs and newly planted bog garden. Tickets are $7.00 per person. For tickets and directions, contact the Science Center at 968-7194. The tour is sponsored by Belknap Landscape Company, 160 Lily Pond Road, Gilford.
