The "Concord Stake" of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the appointment of three men who without pay oversee approximately 4,000.

Bryson C. Cook, Richard P. Cote, and Daniel A. Anderson have accepted the call to serve in the Concord Stake Presidency, the highest position within the Church in N.H.

The three men come from a very diverse background. Cook, 50, holds the position of stake president and will continue in his career as the branch manager of Smith Barney. Cote, 55, is his first counselor and is the supervisor of Weights and Measures in the N.H. Dept. of Agriculture, Markets and Food. Anderson, 45, is the second counselor and is a perfusionist for Dartmouth Medical Center at Concord Hospital.

Cook and his wife Janice have five children and live in Bedford. Cote has 4 children and lives with his wife Cindi in Laconia. Anderson comes from Concord where he lives with his wife Susan and their two children.

All the men have experience serving in other positions of leadership within their local congregations and in the stake.

They are responsible for the functioning of 10 congregations located throughout much of N.H. They oversee the finances, volunteer staffing, and activities of the stake, and they also provide spiritual guidance for Church members. There are over 2,600 stakes of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout the world, three of which are located in N.H. Each stake has a president who is assisted by two counselors.
