The LRGHealthcare Nursery Guild decided to support the Salvation Army's Carey House homeless shelter in Laconia this past holiday season. "We "adopted" the nine children that were staying there and provided Christmas presents to each of those children," said Corey Gately. "Our donation there exceeded $600 in gifts. Seven of our members completed the shopping and bought gifts that were requested by the families. Three of our members (left to right: Alicia Humphrey and her two daughters, Larrissa and Esther, Shannon Allain, and Corey Gately) presented the gifts to the Carey House Director, Susan Lunt. This is a project that the Nursery Guild intends to continue in the future." The Guild also made a $500 cash donation to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, as well as over 600 items the Society is always in need of. (Courtesy photo)
