Ozanam Place is currently holding an on-line auction running through November 6. Proceeds will go to Ozanam Place in order to support single parents who are at risk of homelessness.
Auction items range from a Disney family vacation, a signed David Ortiz Red Sox jersey to gift baskets that will satisfy everyone on your holiday shopping list. Now is your chance to not only get all the great items you want and need, but to do so knowing you are helping support people in our community. In order to access their on-line auction, please go to www.ozanamplace.org and click on the auction link.
Maria Street, Executive Director of Ozanam Place, commented, “I am very excited about the auction items that have been so generously donated. There are items that will intrigue every age range and interest.” Street continued by stating, “Bidding on-line can be fun and competitive. I encourage everyone to take a peak and get into the holiday spirit a bit early this year knowing you are supporting our programs which help single parent families in need.”
Ozanam Place’s ultimate goal is to empower single parents and their children to escape poverty by giving them the tools they need to succeed. Combined with their after care program, Ozanam Place can follow a family for up to seven years. They do not take money for their services and are privately funded.
The auction will run until the organization's Holiday Gala being held this year on November 9, at Church Landing in Meredith. Anyone who is interested in finding out more information about the auction or would like to donate an item, please contact Maria Street at 524-1341 or director@ozanamplace.org.
Ozanam Place’s offices are located at 63 Highland Street in Laconia.
