Local competitors vie for title of Miss New Hampshire 2018

 

  1. DERRY — Miss New Hampshire 2017, Lauren Percy, will crown her successor on April 28 at the end of a two two-day competition at Pinkerton Academy’s Stockbridge Theatre from April 26-28. Each of the 28 contestants who will compete for that honor has qualified at a local preliminary competition and won her way to the state competition. The contestants are judged in four phases of competition to include: Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit, Evening Wear, Talent, Private Interview, and On-Stage questions. The contestants are between the ages of 17 and 24 and have been residents of New Hampshire or full time students for at least six months.

This year’s contestants are Grace Orfao, Miss Auburn; Elizabeth Henry, Miss Bedford; Josie Pearce, Miss Berlin-Gorham; Kaitlin Soucy, Miss Capital Area; Alainna Belanger, Miss Exeter; Kylee-Anne Drew, Miss Gate City; Jana El-Sayed, Miss Goffstown; Ashley Marsh, Miss Granite State; Sarah Tubbs, Miss Greater Derry; Shawna Gile, Miss Hooksett; Kayla Warren, Miss Greater Nashua; Katie Smith, Miss Greater Plaistow; Kacie Flahive, Miss Kingston; Lauren Fohlin, Miss Lake Sunapee Region; Sarah White, Miss Lakes Region; Kaley Missert, Miss Liberty; Reagan Murphy, Miss Littleton Area; Mariah Larocque, Miss Londonderry; Marisa Jo Moorhouse, Miss Manchester; Brooke Mills, Miss Merrimack; Delaney Mastin, Miss Portsmouth Area; Hannah Trepanier, Miss Rockingham County; Samantha Mackes, Miss Seacoast; Kylee Kurto, Miss Souhegan Valley; Emma Colen, Miss Strafford County; Kara Jutras, Miss University; Mackenzie Herlihy, Miss White Mountains Region and Amanda Ledoux, Miss Winnipesaukee.

The Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program, a state chapter of the Miss America Organization, along with the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, provides thousands of dollars in annual college scholarship assistance making it the largest scholarship program for women in New Hampshire. Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program is comprised of 28 local titleholders located throughout the state who contribute hundreds of hours of community service annually.
