American Legion Post 1 on North Main Street is hosting an adult comedy and dinner evening on Saturday, June 28 to benefit the American Legion District 7 charities. There will be raffles and a silent auction to go with a fried haddock dinner and adult comedy show that evening.

Never politically correct and always outrageously funny, comedian Bucky Lewis — "the King of North Country Humor" — is scheduled to perform his one-man adult comedy show at 8 p.m.

The Bucky Lewis Show is 'a can’t miss' fun-filled night out. He presents high spirited one-man show with a cast of many dysfunctional characters. His performances through out New England, Florida, Texas, and Las Vegas this past year have been well received due to Lewis’ ability to create intense laughter and long-lasting memories among a wide variety of audience members. This show is pure fun and totally ‘north country humah’.

Lewis’ show incorporates all facets of comedy including; physical, stand-up, character, live music, songs, spontaneous and audience interactivity. Audience participation is a key element of his show, with Lewis enticing audience members on stage for zany and humorous routines. A truth be told; you never know what Lewis will come up with on stage either in character or on impulse every show is different.

Lewis is a native of Laconia and a graduate of LHS and still has family there. He brings a particular local view on things coming back to his hometown. “A lot of my characters that I have in my show come from my experiences growing up in Laconia” Lewis says. “It’s a lot of fun talking about funny things that happened, and how the culture has affected the way things are happening now”. “I take great pride in being ‘from heah’ and in look forward to generating some side-splitting laughs that night”.

Lewis leads his show with a cast of 1000 dysfunctional characters that’s not to be missed. Audience participation is a key element of his shows, with Lewis enticing audience members on stage for spontaneous routines.

Tickets ($35 per person for the dinner and show) may be purchased on location at the Wilkins Smith Post 1, 849 North Main Street in Laconia. Donations are also highly desired. In times such as these we can not forget those who have given more than they themselves could afford. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 at the show at 8.
