FRANKLIN — Local resident Heather R. Kane is battling Stage 3 breast cancer for a second time. Three years ago at age 47 she underwent the first of several surgeries. This past February the cancer came back and, following more surgery and months of extensive chemotherapy, she is gearing up for six weeks of radiation treatments. The challenges have been innumerable.
Fortunately Heather has a remarkable support network; because what you give comes back to you. For years Heather has been a devoted volunteer for the Franklin Lodge of Elks, whose members are honored to be able to give back to her in her time of need.
The club will be holding a dinner, auction and concert benefit on Nov. 5 at 4:30 p.m., and is seeking donations for the auction; goods, services or monetary contributions are greatly appreciated.
Entertainment will be provided by The Stuck in Time Band; a classic 60's, 70's and 80's band from Lee.
Tickets for the dinner, auction and entertainment are $10; auction and entertainment only, $5.
