Women’s club learns about lake health

Eighty members of The Moultonborough Women’s Club welcomed Bree Rossiter from the Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance to their October meeting. Featuring 240 miles of shoreline, the Winnipesaukee Watershed includes 18 towns and 10 sub-watersheds and contributes $17 billion to the New Hampshire economy. Rossiter educated members and gave them concrete actions to take to protect the lake. The next meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, at the Moultonborough Function Hall. Lianne Prentice from the Bearcamp Center for Sustainable Community will be speaking about the center and its mission to provide nutritious, plentiful, and affordable meals to all who want or need them.
