LACONIA — The New England Wolves enjoyed victory at both Feb. 23 games against Walpole Express, winning at both the EHL and EHLP levels.
In the EHL game, the Wolves won 3-1, with the winning goal by Oliver Quinn. Ryan Waring scored on a penalty shot, and Jack Ennis scored as well. The Wolves EHL team increased their franchise record to 25 wins.
In the EHLP game, the Wolves won on home ice 6-1. Ricards Jelenskis and Jeffery Brann both scored two goals each, and Skyler Coard stopped more than 30 shots during the team's ninth win of the year.
The Wolves U14 team won their 10th straight game and are heading into the NEPHL playoffs.
Round 1 of the EHL playoffs will be Wednesday, March 4, at 4:30 p.m. at Merrill Fay Arena when the Wolves host the East Coast Wizards of Bedford, Mass.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for kids under 14. Apparel is available at the ticket counter in the lobby on game days. Fans are encouraged to wear red to help the Wolves "Paint the Rink Red.”
