TILTON — Winnisquam Regional School District dedicated its newly renovated and expanded Winnisquam Career Center, known as The WiCC, on Oct. 2.

The celebratory event brought together students, families, educators, area superintendents, school board members, local business partners, and community stakeholders who were instrumental in the center’s modernization.

In her opening remarks, WiCC Principal Andrea Wujcik said, “Tonight, we celebrate opportunities. The opportunity to experience, explore, create, make mistakes, learn from those mistakes, and lay the path for a better future.”

The extensive renovation project has modernized classroom, lab, and shop spaces, transforming The WiCC into a trailblazing technical center. The facility now offers five new and expanded career programs designed to prepare students for college, career, and life success through rigorous academics integrated with technical and employability skills.

Sean Goodwin, Winnisquam Regional School Board chair said, “For the last four years, the dream of an expanded Career and Technical education facility has been a driving force for our community. Today, that dream is a reality. The Winnisquam Career Center has state of the art classrooms, cutting edge equipment, and outstanding educators. Designed to foster creativity and innovation, and to inspire students in the exploration of future career pathways, this building is a testament to what we can achieve we work together with a common purpose.”

Lavallee Brensinger Architects, Rothenberg Consultants, Bonnette, Page, and Stone, Clerk of the Works Marc Jobin, former WRSD Assistant Principal Shane Rozamus, and Nina Gardner were recognized for their contributions and commitment to this project.

The Winnisquam Career Center is a regional Career and Technical Education facility located in Tilton, serving students from the Winnisquam Regional High School and surrounding districts. The WiCC provides career pathway education that blends rigorous academics with applied, hands-on learning to prepare students for college, careers, and life success.
