It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David W. Courtemanche, a beloved resident of Sanbornton. Born in Franklin, on March 8, 1956, David's life journey came to a peaceful end on Sept. 27, 2025. He was 69 years old.
David was a dedicated and hardworking individual, self-employed throughout his career at P&D Enterprises in Franklin, where he worked with his father. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to his work were admired by many.
A man with a zest for life, David was a lifetime member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks, where he shared camaraderie and community spirit with fellow members. He greatly enjoyed attending blues festivals with his friend Jim, immersing himself in the vibrant music and culture that he cherished.
David is survived by his loving family: his brother, Kevin J. Courtemanche and his longtime partner Regina of Belmont; his sister, Carol A. Courtemanche and her longtime partner Robert; and David's longtime partner, Heidi Johnson. He will also be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, Kevin, Keith, Jessica, Eric and Michelle; along with his devoted longtime friend, Jim LaPlante, and two dear friends, Mark and Michelle Bryson of Sanbornton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul G. Courtemanche and Ruth May (Peters) Courtemanche, whose memories he carried with him throughout his life.
A graveside service to honor and remember David's life will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Franklin, at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the remarkable life he led and the many lives he touched.
