MEREDITH — The Winni Players will host performances of “The WXYZ Radio Hour: American Radio Classics Live On Stage” at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse on Nov. 21-24.

The production will include a trio of classic radio scripts “The Green Hornet,” “The Lone Ranger” and “Challenge of the Yukon.”

Local radio superstar Pat Kelly returns for this production, joining a dozen performers who enact beloved characters from those scripts, including many faces which will be familiar to loyal radio play enthusiasts. Brendan Berube, of Laconia, helms the production. Though he has appeared onstage in several of the radio dramas, this will be his first time in the director’s chair.

This is the second year the Winni Players have put on a traditional radio drama. In February, “Sherlock Holmes” was captured on WMUR’s NH Chronicle. Viewers voiced support for more radio drama productions.

Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. For more information, visit winnipesaukeeplayhouse.org or call 603-279-0333.
