Wild Winter Walks at Squam Lakes Natural Science Center

What do animals at the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center in Holderness do when winter arrives? Guests are encouraged to bundle up and come find out. Join a naturalist for a guided walk along the live animal exhibit trail to see animal ambassadors sporting their winter coats. Discover the strategies these animals use to stay warm, forage for food, and survive the season. Held once a weekend from 10-11:30 a.m. or 1-2:30 p.m., beginning Feb. 1 through March 15, staff recommend attendees dress in warm layers with insulated snow boots, hats and gloves. This event is recommended for kids age 6 and up. To view the schedule, visit nhnature.org/programs/calendar.php. (Courtesy photo)
