Town of Ashland releases list of Fourth of July events

ASHLAND — The Town of Ashland has released its list of Fourth of July events. 

The kickoff event will take place on Friday, July 3, at 4 p.m., at L.W. Packard Ball Field on Main St.

The evening sizzles with a high-energy concert in the park featuring Chris White, Red Daisy Revival, Peter Downing, and Rock the Park. Food trucks from across the state line up to tempt your taste buds with an irresistible mix of eats. While you wait for the sky to light up, jump into nonstop fun on the field: a bounce house, rock-climbing wall, bungee jumping, and games. Visit the Booster Club to see the Ashland Historical Society’s historical exhibit of noteworthy documents as well as a photo display. Then cap the night with a tremendous fireworks spectacle you won’t forget to celebrate America 250.

Don’t miss the Common Man Pancake Breakfast—an Ashland tradition beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, at The Common Man on Main Street. The breakfast is cash only. Fuel up on fluffy pancakes, then step outside to claim your parade-viewing spot.

The Fourth of July parade steps off at 10 a.m. from the fire station and ends at the L.W. Packard Ball Field. The “A Year 4 Celebration” parade features the New Hampshire National Guard as our Color Guard, the 2026 Grand Marshal: Ashland Woman’s Club — celebrating its 100th anniversary, Mary Ruell Award recipient, Phylliss Reitsma, honored for outstanding service to Ashland, many floats, cars, and of course, the fire trucks.

After the parade, tour the Booster Club’s historical exhibit and join the community kickball game at L.W. Packard Ball Field — ice cream treats provided by the Ashland Fourth of July Committee.

On Sunday, July 5, enjoy several competitive events including a 5K at 8 a.m., the If It Floats race, where attendees bring a homemade seaworthy vessel and compete at 11 a.m., which is followed by swim races. All events take place at the Edward N. Doggett Beach.
