WEIRS BEACH — The Bel Airs return to the Weirs Community Park for a free outdoor concert on Saturday, July 11, at 6 p.m.
This is lively five-piece vocal harmony group featuring two female and three male vocalists. The Bel Airs bring the golden era of doo-wop and oldies to life with rich harmonies and timeless favorites. Performing across New England at events, summer concert series, classic car shows, and assisted living communities, they deliver nostalgic tunes and a distinctive flair and passion to their music, creating a harmonious blend that defines their sound.
They have been performing at the Weirs Community Park since 2017 and draw a healthy crowd and it is not uncommon to see many standing up dancing and swaying to the harmonized music and of course everyone joins in clapping and doing the hand jive.
The free show starts at 6 p.m. The Weirs Park Amphitheater is located at 49 Lucerne Ave., Weirs Beach behind the Weirs Beach Fire Station. In the event of rain, the show will be set up inside the Weirs Community Park Hall right next to the park. Visitors should be sure to come rain or shine.
Be sure to bring lawn chairs to place on the grassy tiered seating area. Find a spot facing the stage and relax listening to your old favorites. Enjoy the comfortable sound system, with plenty of parking and restrooms.
