MOULTONBOROUGH — At the Moultonborough Women’s Club’s October meeting, over 70 women gathered to hear Nancy Schacht Mathis, senior development manager at the American Cancer Society, speak about the good works of the organization.

In addition to funding cancer research into diagnosis techniques, treatments and preventions, the ACS provides a Help Line for anyone affected by cancer, including patients, family and friends. Moultonborough Women's Club has supported a team of walkers in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event for over 25 years and has raised over $160,000 for ACS.

The upcoming club meeting on Monday, Nov. 6 will feature Don Dutton presenting “David’s House, Home Away from Home” after an early Thanksgiving dinner with turkey and all the fixings. Guests are welcome.
