MOULTONBOROUGH — The Moultonborough Library will be having a Fond Farewell Celebration for Linda Nolin on Friday, April 1. A special presentation will be done at noon, however, feel free to stop in any time from 9 a.m. – noon to wish her well. Linda has been with the library for over 24 years.

Upcoming programs for adults include: Thursday Movie Night on April 7 at 6 p.m. Movie this month is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018). Come for pizza, popcorn. Monday, April 11 at 6 p.m. the library will host a special culinary adventures program via Zoom with Liz Barbour from Creative Feast, who will be showing participants how to make artisan bread. This is a hybrid program. The library will supply the ingredients for the first 15 people to sign up. Participants will meet at the library and watch Liz on the big screen. For folks who want to watch from their home, you can register and you will be sent a Zoom link to the program.

Do you have a junior or senior in high school and they are thinking about attending college? The library is having two sessions of “Crushing Your College Essays” this month (April 26 & 28, both at 6:30 p.m.). Learn how to write compelling and authentic application essays with Renate Gundermann. This will be an interactive and dynamic discussion with handouts and essays examples. Parents and students will leave with a clearer understanding of how to approach and write these all-important essays. Register if you are going to attend one of these sessions.

For families, don’t miss the annual Spring Egg Hunt program on Friday, April 15. There are four sessions, and they are filling up fast, you must register to attend. Go to the library’s online calendar and click on registration required. 

The library offers Ancestry.com and HeritageQuest Online to their patrons. Ancestry.com (only accessible from within the library) gives you access to the census, vital records, immigration and much more genealogy information from around the world. HeritageQuest may be used from home. You will sign in with your library card number.
