MEREDITH ― It's scholarship time in the Inter-Lakes school district. The Meredith Lions Club is again offering four scholarships for those living in Meredith, Center Harbor and Sandwich. The Meredith Lions Club Scholarship will be awarded to a senior or homeschool equivalent going onto a secondary school with a definite goal and a strong community spirit.
The Clyde Dolly Scholarship is for a senior moving on to a two-year college or apprenticeship in a trade.
The Robert "Bob" Valliere Scholarship will be presented to a student continuing their education in the sports field with strength in volunteering.
The Jan Adams Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to a student going into the medical field. This scholarship can be applied for each year the student is studying for a degree in medicine.
Applications may be picked up at the guidance office at the Inter-Lakes Middle High School, the Meredith Public Library, James E. Nichols Memorial Library, and the Samuel H. Wentworth Library. All applications must be postmarked by May 1. Please be aware of the new postal regulations regarding postmarks and mail early.
