SANDWICH — Students at Sandwich Central School had an engaging day of discovery at the Boston Museum of Science. The action-packed field trip offered a full schedule designed to bring science to life through hands-on learning and interactive presentations.

Activities included rotating through exhibits and educational programs, including live animal presentations, the "Lightning!" show at the Theater of Electricity, and a "Robot Roundup" in the Gordon Current Science and Technology Center. The itinerary also featured drop-in activities such as design challenges at the Engineering Design Workshop and exploration at the Biogen Foundation Exploration Hub. The day concluded with an OMNI presentation.

In addition to the academic excitement, this particular trip held special significance for the school community as they celebrated the retirement of Mrs. Johnston. Known for her infectious passion for science and math, Mrs. Johnston’s career has been defined by her dedication to sparking curiosity in her students.

This excursion served as a fitting tribute to her legacy, offering her students one last grand adventure in the subjects she has loved and taught so well. This field trip was a memorable experience, blending academic enrichment with the excitement of exploring one of Boston's premier science institutions while honoring a beloved educator.
