FRANKLIN ― The Plymouth Elks Lodge No. 2312 is proud of their four participants in the recent Hoop Shoot State Championship held on Feb. 1, in Franklin.
Derek Hilliard, of Ashland and Kenley Tracy of Plymouth were in competitive divisions and each shot well, but did not win their age group.
In the boys’ 8-9 age group, Patrick Fuller, Plymouth, sank 21 of 25 to win his division while in the girls 8-9 age group, Lyla Reed, of Holderness, sank 20 of 25, and then sank 4 of 5 in a shoot off to win her division. With this victory, she received the Fred Rheault High Score Girl Award.
Both Fuller and Reed will now advance to the New England Championships in Portland, Maine, March 5-8.
