MEREDITH — The Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance has elected two new members to its board of directors: Jon Dayton from Meredith and John W. Marriott III from Moultonborough.
Jon Dayton brings 39 years of commercial real estate experience across New England and major U.S. metropolitan markets. He co-founded Farley White Management Co., where he served as a principal and director of property management. He later held senior roles at Edens and Brookwood Financial Partners, where he built a national property management practice supporting a portfolio of more than 10.5 million square feet of Class A office space and served as a director and member of the executive committee. Dayton grew up in the Boston area and has been coming to Bear Island on Lake Winnipesaukee since 1960. Today, he and his wife, Nancy, split their time between Scottsdale, Arizona, and summers on Bear Island, enjoying skiing, hiking, traveling, and life on Lake Winnipesaukee.
John W. Marriott III is an entrepreneur and longtime hospitality leader. He founded JWM Family Enterprises and helped develop 16 hotels managed by Marriott International. He spent three decades with Marriott International and served on its board of directors from 2002-2014. He also launched TessArae, a life sciences company focused on genetic testing for infectious and inherited diseases. He was also a longtime board member of the National Zoo. John has been coming to Lake Winnipesaukee since his birth and is particularly focused on protecting the water quality of the lake.
“Dayton and Marriott bring a broad range of business experience and expertise to our board, as well as a deep commitment to protecting the water quality of our lake,” said LWA Board Chair Mark Ishkanian.
