MEREDITH — Kidworks Learning Center has provided high quality care and education to families of the Lakes Region for 25 years. The center celebrated 25 years with a “birthday” party with children’s musician Mr. Aaron. “We wanted to celebrate in a way the children would understand,” Jennifer Weeks, executive director of Kidworks said. “Not all the children know what an anniversary is and by celebrating it as a birthday the children were able to grasp the concept and were very excited.”
The children made special tie dyed t-shirts, birthday decorations and instruments for the party with Mr. Aaron. The children and teachers sang and danced the morning away. Typically the center has a community wide birthday extravaganza, but due to COVID-19 the event was kept small. “We wanted this birthday celebration to focus on the children as that is truly what it is all about,” said Weeks.
