GILFORD — The Gilford Old Home Day Committee will be hosting an Oktoberfest Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Gilford Community Church. The evening will feature a buffet dinner, music, and dancing. Proceeds from the dinner will help offset expenses for the Gilford Old Home Day celebration. The dinner will include sit down meals only.Â
The meal will be prepared by Dan Barnhart of The Plate Lunch and will include: jägerschnitzel — a Schnitzel breaded pork served with a dark and creamy mushroom gravy — beer bratwurst, sauerkraut, kartoffelsalat — German potato salad — sourdough soft pretzels and dessert.
