BRISTOL — Emmons Funeral Home recently became part of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home/603Cremations.com family.

Without successors within the Emmons family to personally operate the funeral home, the Emmons family sought out another family firm with similar values, work ethic and community commitment, to purchase the funeral home. They felt the Beane family of Laconia shares these same values as well as attributes and has been serving their communities in a similar manner for five generations. Emmons Funeral Home remains an independent, family owned and operated business under the umbrella of the Wilkinson-Beane family.

The Beane and Emmons families have a 25-year history of collaboratively working together by sharing equipment, resources and inventory when needed. Both families have been using the crematory facility, Winnipesaukee River Crematorium, since it opened in 1998 by the Beane family.

Emmons has served the greater Newfound community for more than 70 years after it was started by Fred and Myriel Emmons in 1952. Their granddaughter, Cindy Rogers, former owner and funeral director of Emmons Funeral Home will continue working at the home in what she called a win-win situation.

“This was a challenging decision, but I am confident that the partnership with Wilkinson-Beane affords me the opportunity to continue to serve current and future generations of families in the Newfound area,” she said.

Craig Beane said, “I am pleased to have Cindy join us at Wilkinson-Beane. It’s a pleasure and an honor to work with the Newfound area families that Emmons Funeral Home and Cindy have worked with for years. Both family funeral homes have the same consistent values and ethics, while bringing families throughout New Hampshire the most compassionate and economical funeral choices.”
