Celebrate Laconia, a local nonprofit organization, is once again sponsoring the Lights Festival for the 2024 holiday season. On Saturday, Nov. 30, downtown Laconia will be alive starting with the 5K walk/run Santa Shuffle, a scavenger hunt for children, food vendors, holiday train rides, and local business participation. Additionally, Celebrate Laconia sponsors the Holiday Walk in Rotary and Stewart parks, which feature decorated Christmas trees that are purchased by local businesses and individual residents. This year organizers are adding a tree decorating contest so visitors will be able to vote for their favorite tree. The day will end with the Holiday Parade through downtown, culminating with the lighting of the trees by Santa himself.
