LACONIA — The Lakes Region Builders & Remodelers Association is proud to announce Callahan Plumbing and Heating as the first-ever presenting sponsor of the Student Home Build at The Huot Career and Technical Center at Laconia High School. This partnership underscores the company’s commitment to workforce development and hands-on education, aiming to teach, inspire and empower the next generation of tradespeople.
In partnership with the Lakes Region Builders and Remodelers Association, students in the construction, plumbing and heating programs at The Huot Career and Technical Center build an entire 450 square feet modular home each year. This hands-on project serves as a learning opportunity for students, providing real-world experience in construction, design, plumbing, heating, and other essential trades. The collaboration between Huot Tech and LRBRA member volunteers helps bridge the skills gap and prepare students for rewarding careers in the trades.
As the presenting sponsor, Callahan Plumbing and Heating will provide funding to support the ongoing success of the student home build and workforce development initiative. These funds will ensure students continue to benefit from comprehensive education, mentorship, and the opportunity to work on projects that have a lasting impact on the community.
