MOULTONBOROUGH — Moultonborough Women’s Club — Trish Conley, Cheryl Ulm and Amy Corston ventured out in the 20-degree temperatures for the first snowshoeing event of the year thanks to the new snow. The air was fresh and the sun strong as these determined women enjoyed excellent conditions at the Page Pond Trails in Meredith. Geneva Point was discussed as the next site.
On Monday, Feb. 1st, the MWC welcomed Katie O’Connell, experienced yoga instructor and owner of Dragonfly Yoga Barn in Sandwich. As the winter white settled into the area, the members settled into a calming relaxation session. Not able to gather in person the monthly meeting was held via ZOOM as Katie taught breathing techniques, yoga stretches and postures to calm body and soul. While COVID-19 restrictions have reduced the opportunities to gather onsite, Dragonfly’s classes and workshops have been expanded online, with local members and participants from California to Great Britain. Katie has led numerous retreats internationally as well as at the Barn and looks forward to traveling again to Ireland and India.
Sue Bowker will speak on behalf of Days for Girls International at the March meeting. Eileen McNamara, a local author, and Prescott Farms are also on the spring schedule. The MWC looks forward to meeting in person in June, arrangements have been made at the Sandwich Fair Grounds for the group to reunite under the pavilion.
