From left, Emma Davidson, Emmaline Leandro, and Oliver Leandro with Belknap County 4-H Youth Leadership Team will be attending a national 4-H event, Ignite, in March and have applied to present a workshop. The team will host a Contra Dance Fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 27, 6–8:30 p.m. at Belknap County Fairgrounds, 174 Mile Hill Road, in Belmont. Attendees will learn the classic New Hampshire tradition of Contra Dance — is a community folk dance consisting of long lines of couples engaging in high-energy figures like allemandes, twirls, and swings. All profits will be going back into the county with events and service projects. (Courtesy photo)
