May 17, 1958-April 7, 2026

Kevin McCallie Getty, 67, was born in New York, New York, to Ronald M. Getty and Marian Joy (Stam) Getty.

He is predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Terri McIntosh Getty; as well as his stepfather, Karl Kreeb and his wife Pamela Kreeb; his sons John Getty, his wife Ashley and their sons, Lucas and Jacob, and Mark Getty and his wife Stephanie.

He lived in Byram, Connecticut, as a young child then moved to Harvard, Massachusetts. He attended Applewild School where he won awards for his art. He also attended Lawrence Academy and Bromfield High School where he met Terri. After high school he attended Wentworth Institute where he studied aeronautical engineering and received his associate’s degree. He worked in that field for several years.

After building his own home, he decided to change careers and he became a builder. He loved working with the big equipment and finish carpentry the most. In 2002, he and Terri and their two boys moved from Harvard, Massachusetts, to Meredith, where he continued building. In 2016, he won several awards in the Parade of Homes.

When not working, his passions were cars and boats. Weekends were always spent on Lake Winnipesaukee, which was his happy place, with family and friends. He loved his boys and loved going to races and working on cars with them. He loved the boxers he had over the years, most recently Rocky. After retiring in 2019, he and Terri spent lots of time traveling in their 5th wheel.

Kevin’s final years were spent battling Alzheimer's disease. In spite of that battle he was always a joker right to the end. We will miss you. Thank you for all the good years and times we all had together.

Please join us for a celebration of life/car and motorcycle show to be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at 29 Gilford East Drive, Gilford.
