MEREDITH — The National Honor Society recognizes high school students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Membership in the NHS is not just an acknowledgment of past achievements but also a commitment to uphold its core values and principles.
Inter-Lakes Middle High School recently inducted the newest members to its chapter of NHS: Seniors Lola Ferrante, Sebastian Hart, Tagel Ort, Autumn Sheehan, Connor South, and Ruby Walker; and juniors Elise Beauboeuf, Chris Boksanske, Hayden Brunell, Claire Clark, Tyler Coleman, Elizabeth Downing-Hall, Mekhi Hackett, Zoya Hart, Angelina Healey, Augustus Marshall, Kiera Moynihan, Aleksandar Pizzuti, Aiden Price, Peyton Rolfe, Jenna Spiegler, David Walker, Lila Williams and Thea Wright.
The 24 inductees are scholars, athletes, artists, musicians, captains, class officers, photographers, employees, data-analysts, and robot engineers. As members of the National Honor Society, students can anticipate engaging in a diverse range of meaningful activities. These include mentoring peers, taking part in Unified sporting events, volunteering at the Sandwich Fair, packing lunches for “Got Lunch,” supporting programs at the Meredith Community Center, and collaborating with Student Council to organize a food drive benefiting the Meredith Food Pantry.
Selflessness and a genuine desire to help others without expecting recognition or reward embodies the principle that leadership is about lifting others up and contributing to the greater good. As school leaders and role models, the Inter-Lakes Middle High School National Honor Society members enrich their school and strive to make the world a better place.
