MOULTONBOROUGH — Castle in the Clouds has a new caretaker. Ahead of the 2026 season, the team welcomes Joseph Raboin as director of buildings and grounds.
Raboin brings 25 years of experience working in facilities maintenance in Boston, and the surrounding area, having been responsible for the care of luxury high-rises, high-end hotels, residential communities, and superstores. Now, he is eager to bring his expertise to the preservation of this 115-year-old estate.
In this position, Raboin will provide leadership and guidance while working alongside the facilities team, who are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds of Castle in the Clouds. Since the estate was built in 1913, the facilities team, led by Raboin, will continue to preserve and restore this historic landmark for the sake of local history and the visitors who flock to the New Hampshire Lakes Region each year.
“We’re excited to welcome Joe to the team to bring his experience not only to maintaining the estate but also to our ongoing restoration projects,” said Charles Clark, executive director.
Castle in the Clouds opens the 2026 season on Saturday, May 23. This season also commemorates the 20th anniversary of Castle Preservation Society, the nonprofit organization which operates the museum. For tickets and visitor information, visit castleintheclouds.org.
