MEREDITH — Emiliette "Mimi" Drouin Beaudoin passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Mimi was born outside of Quebec, in Canada. She graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School in 1953, where her classmates described her as ambitious, ardent to study and kind in society. She went on to work for Boutin Insurance, the Kennedy campaign and Laconia Fire Department.

Mimi was the perfect complement to her husband of 67 years. They worked together to create a very steady and lovely life. They enjoyed traveling and experiencing new cultures. She spoke beautiful French which she used when traveling through France.

She worked extremely hard raising her seven children, allowing them space to grow and encouraged them to make their own decisions. Mimi was a quiet, strong leader and feminist. She liked to sew, knit, bake bread and can vegetables from the family garden. She was an exceptional cook and keeper of a very clean well-organized home.

Mimi was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church where she worked as a eucharistic minister. She volunteered for many years at St. Vincent de Paul, she also supported charities that were very close to her heart.
