WOLFEBORO — Vintage Boat Rides begin on Saturday, May 24 aboard two New Hampshire Boat classic 1928 Hacker-Crafts.
“These rides are such a fun way to see Lake Winnipesaukee,” said NHBM Programs Director Anne Lennon. “They’re smooth and fast and give passengers an authentic wooden boat experience.”
Carrying up to eight guests and launching from the Wolfeboro Town Docks, the Millie B offers riders a 45-minute excursion exploring the east side of Lake Winnipesaukee. On the tour, guests can expect to see lakeside homes, historic boathouses, and observe part of the 200-acre Loon Sanctuary abutting the lake’s northeast shore.
Rides on the Miss Lauren start on Friday, June 20. Launching from North Water Marine in Laconia on weekdays, the 90-minute tour explores the southern end of Lake Winnipesaukee. On weekends, the Miss Lauren will depart from The Margate Resort in Laconia and carry passengers on a 90-minute tour around Paugus Bay.
“Whether you live locally or are in the area on vacation, taking a wooden boat ride is an experience you won’t forget,” said Lennon. “This is an opportunity to ride back in time to the golden age of boating.”
In addition to scheduled boat rides, NHBM offers private charters. “Both of our vintage boats represent a unique opportunity to celebrate a wedding or special event on the water in style,” added Lennon.
