ASHLAND — Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Ashland-Holderness-Plymouth, announces the Reverend Vicar Stephen Rugg will be ordained on Saturday, Jan. 15 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Highland Street, Ashland. The service will begin at 11 a.m. with The Right Reverend A. Robert Hirschfield, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire, officiating.
A reception will follow in Sherrill Hall. All are invited and welcome to attend. Per the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire’s COVID-19 protocols, all in attendance must wear a mask while in the sanctuary and in Sherrill Hall.
The Reverend Vicar Stephen Rugg was called to Emmanuel Episcopal Church at the beginning of August. He lives in Canaan, NH, with his wife, Rebecca, and son, Neil. Stephen holds a masters of divinity degree. He is a postulant for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Church of New Hampshire. Prior to Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Stephen served as a priest in another denomination that is not in communion with the Episcopal Church.
