LACONIA — Beautiful, loving, and kind, Diane Rodgers had a special gift for finding magic in the everyday world around her. Diane Claire Rodgers, age 74, passed away peacefully on Oct. 16, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of Michael Rodgers and devoted mother of her son, Aaron Rodgers (Elise Doe) of San Jose, California, and her daughter, Nessa Regan (Christopher) of Boston. She was a loving grandmother to Stella Regan and Zoe Rodgers.
Diane was born on Jan. 24, 1952, in an orphanage in Trois-Rivieres, a historic city in Quebec, Canada. At 9 months old, she was adopted by Leo and Adrienne Duchesneau and raised as an only child in Nashua. Growing up, she was especially close to her aunt Andrea and her cousins Dicky, Donald, Gerry, Paul and Elaine.
Diane went on her first date with Mike Rodgers the day before her 17th birthday, and they married on Nov. 13, 1971. They would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this November. Family meant everything to Diane, and being a mother and grandmother brought her the greatest joy.
In 1981, Diane founded A Touch of Green, her plant maintenance company, which she ran for more than 30 years, serving 65 accounts across Southern New Hampshire. Her success reflected her independent spirit, entrepreneurial nature, and, of course, her green thumb.
In 2000, Diane connected with her biological family, meeting her birth mother, Claire, her birth father, Clemente, and her three brothers, Robert, Mario and Guy. She cherished these relationships and maintained close ties with them throughout the years.
Diane had a deep appreciation for the natural world. She loved flowers, tending her gardens, and the delicate wonder of butterflies and hummingbirds. She adored animals, especially her beloved cats, and at the lake, she named all the ducks and their ducklings, turning them into familiar little friends. Sunset boat rides, downhill skiing, and playing cards were among her favorite pastimes. She continued playing cribbage right up to her final days.
Generous by nature and a thoughtful gift giver, Diane always found special ways to show the people she loved how much they meant to her. Diane will be remembered for her joyful spirit, the love she gave so freely, and her ability to make the world around her more beautiful. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Diane’s life from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua. Please RSVP by Friday, Nov. 6, to Mike at mrodgers@metrocast.net so we can plan accordingly. We look forward to gathering with family and friends to honor her memory.
