MEREDITH — The Union Church of Meredith Neck welcomes the deep baritone voice of Rev. Robert Thompson, who will grace the church again this year as he leads the service on Sunday, Aug. 6.

Additional music will be provided by Emily Getchell-Lacey.

Thompson is an itinerant elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, and educated in the public schools there, he matriculated at Phillips Exeter Academy. He later received a bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University and his master's in divinity from Payne Theological Seminary.

Married and the father of two children, Thompson is also blessed with two grandchildren, whom he considers "the best grandchildren in the world."

Subsequent services will be led by Rev. Ann Cady on Sunday, Aug. 13 and Rev. Philip Polhemus on Sunday, Aug. 20.

All are welcome for in-person worship at the church, located at 258 Meredith Neck Road, at 10 a.m. each Sunday through Aug. 20.
