To The Daily Sun,
Glenn Morrill is a seventh generation Franklinite and proud of it. He is a candidate for mayor of Franklin and he is the clear choice for voters on Oct. 7.
Glenn Morrill wants to ensure future generations have the opportunities he has had and be able to live, play, work and thrive in Franklin. Glenn wants to bring respect back to city council meetings. Meetings the past two years have been filled with improper interruptions from the mayor and council, coaching by the mayor and a lack of decorum. Glenn Morrill wants to change that and have councilors and the community engage in conversations that are not rife with false information but instead offer solutions to the issues facing Franklin in a meaningful manner.Â
Meeting voters face to face is the foundation of Glenn's campaign. When voters meet with Glenn, he will tell them school funding is a priority for him — he will bring the leadership needed to fight the NH state legislators to adequately fund our schools. Glenn will tell voters he will keep the tax cap — but utilize the provision that allows the city to bond for capital improvement expenditures after years and years of neglect by prior city councilors. He believes in fiscal responsibility and smart investments in Franklin's future.
Glenn is an active volunteer in Franklin. Readers can find him any Tuesday morning with his volunteer crew, weeding, mulching, or planting in the gardens that are scattered throughout downtown. He was awarded Concord Monitor's Hometown Hero in 2024 for those efforts. His dedication and commitment to Franklin is inspiring, he knows Franklin, he knows what is needed to move the city forward and jumpstart revitalization after two years of stagnation. On Tuesday, Oct. 7, vote for Glenn Morrill for mayor.
