To The Daily Sun,
The Lakeport Reagan Way cul-de-sac encompasses seven residential homes. Clearly it will have a direct impact when cars are directed to drive into the cul-de-sac a.k.a. holding area for vehicles entering and exiting the Elm Street Elementary School’s driveway at 2:50 p.m. (on the dot, no sooner) to pick up children. All of which was expounded by one city councilor.
On a positive note, on Sept. 4 two police officers arrived to safely control the school's traffic that created a hazard by parents stopping pending permission to enter the driveway while other vehicles are compelled to stop — adding to the longer line which also includes those parents coming from Lakeport who are forced to go to the back of the line — and turn around, extending the line even more.
