To The Daily Sun,

Here are two excellent reasons to vote for Seth Wheeler and Dean Cascadden to represent Meredith in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

First, they are both long-time residents of Meredith and understand what is important to us. They have worked hard, met with voters, asked questions, and listened to the answers. We are fortunate that they are willing to utilize their impressive skills on our behalf. Both have extensive experience in management, communication, problem-solving, and team building. Exactly what we need to untangle the mess in Concord and get Belknap County government back on track.

Second, voting for two Democrats increases the possibility of taking the gavel out of the hands of the libertarian Free Staters posing as Republicans. Cutting taxes on the wealthy and businesses while spending wildly on private education has downshifted costs onto local taxpayers while undermining our schools and leaving our environment unprotected.

Removing the Free Staters from power will allow the Republicans to reclaim their party back to the traditional fiscally conservative, socially responsible protectors of the environment, proud of our schools, party we can all be proud of. We need a two-party system.

If readers are ready for a change, vote up and down the ticket for the Democratic candidates. They are all exceptionally talented. Let’s take back our state, our county, and our towns. Our lakes and children deserve our protection.
