To The Daily Sun,
As the November mid-term election draws closer, I want to reach out to my fellow Laconians and ask two favors.
One: get out and vote. There's no reason at all not to vote, whether it's absentee, early voting or in-person on election day.
Two: vote for candidates with no agenda other than fixing the depressing, and in my opinion, failing, public school system.
Yes, more money is needed to do things like replace failed curriculum, improve physical infrastructure, and for god sake, pay our best and brightest teachers a salary they can live on.
More money is needed to improve and reform our IEP/504 plans for students and families in need of something extra.
Beyond the money portion of our public education system, there is so much more to do, change, and overhaul in SAU 30, which will lead to the success of our students, teachers, and other applicable staff who work hard all school year.
Sadly, nothing is going to get done as long as the current bench of Laconia representatives continue to follow leadership in Concord and kick the can down the road.
Thats why I am wholeheartedly endorsing Marcia Hayward, Denise Riley, Lois Kessin and Eric Hoffman to be my next state representatives out of my hometown, the City of Laconia.
I encourage all Laconians to vote for the slate of candidates that want nothing more for kids but to succeed in school and for a lifetime after.
I'm done watching the majority fail and slip through the cracks.
Are voters?
Vote Hayward, Riley, Kessin, Hoffman for state representative and Kurt Webber for senate on Nov. 3.
