To The Daily Sun,

I support Kurt Webber for state senator representing the towns of Ashland, Campton, Center Harbor, Gilford, Holderness, Laconia, Meredith, New Hampton, Sanbornton, Sandwich and Thornton. Kurt Webber has led a life of service in the military and community. Kurt served on the Gilford School Board. He knows how to balance budgets. A community leader, Kurt Webber founded local organizations to support veterans and first responders. Kurt is an Eagle Scout and West Point graduate. He consistently proves himself to be a leader dedicated to integrity, civility and putting principles and people over politics.

Kurt’s opponent, Tim Lang, is aligned with the extreme libertarian Free State agenda. When the Legislature could have protected New Hampshire towns and natural resources from data centers, Lang voted to gut those protections and stripped town’s rights to say no. Under Lang’s watch on the Senate Finance Committee, town property taxes in this district have risen 25%. Lang voted against an affordable housing bill and voted to allow landlords to charge double security deposits. At virtually every opportunity, Lang has voted against adding state funds to public education and has voted to add funds and increase eligibility criteria for private school vouchers, stripping tax dollars away from public schools. Much of Tim Lang’s financial support for this election comes from special interest PACs, gambling interests and data center proponents. Who is Tim Lang beholden to?

Join me in support of Kurt Webber for state senator.
